Execution of Rehabilitation and Maintenance Works for Road No. (1) Located Within the Old Oil Bridge Project Area, South of Aqaba Tender No. (88/A/2026)

INVITATION TO TENDER

Aqaba Development Corporation invites contractors qualified and classified by the Government Tenders Department in the field of Roads, specializing in Road Construction and Maintenance under Second or Third Category for the year 2026, to participate in:

Execution of Rehabilitation and Maintenance Works for Road No. (1) Located Within the Old Oil Bridge Project Area, South of Aqaba Tender No. (88/A/2026)

The project is located south of Aqaba city. The project includes execution of rehabilitation and maintenance works for Road No. (1) located within the Old Oil Bridge project area, south of Aqaba, with an approximate length of (1.7) km. This includes all civil and road works to raise road efficiency and improve traffic safety levels. The scope of work covers survey works, excavation, backfilling, leveling, and soil improvement as needed, in addition to maintaining damaged pavement layers, reconstructing pavement layers according to approved designs, widening the road, improving the cross-section of the road to align with future traffic flow requirements and design speed bumps, asphalt milling of existing asphalt layers as required, executing new asphalt layers, carrying out required surface treatments on the existing surface, treating cracks, rutting, and surface defects, rehabilitating side shoulders and connection areas where necessary, executing median islands, side shoulders, and associated works, adjusting and connecting entrances of adjacent affected structures and facilities, executing surface drainage and road protection works, executing box culvert works with all entrance and outlet requirements as indicated in the design drawings, and executing traffic safety works.

Those wishing to participate in the tender must visit the Tenders Department at Aqaba Development Corporation offices in Aqaba between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM, starting from Wednesday, October 21, 2026, until Tuesday, October 27, 2026, bringing the following documents:

1. A valid classification certificate for the year 2026 for the company or institution issued by the Government Tenders Department.
2. Written authorization bearing the official stamp of the company or institution and the signature of the authorized signatory, permitting the handover of tender documents to the bearer.
3. Tender document fee of (500) JOD—five hundred Dinars only, non-refundable—deposited into the account of Aqaba Development Corporation Account No. (0122-045700-500) at Arab Bank, Aqaba Branch, with the requirement to present the deposit receipt.

Notes:

1. Gathering for the site visit for applicants will be on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at exactly 11:00 AM at the offices of Aqaba Development Corporation.
2. The deadline for receiving inquiries is Sunday, November 1, 2026 (no inquiries will be accepted after this date).
3. Bids shall be deposited in the Tender Box at Aqaba Development Corporation before 12:00 PM on Monday, November 16, 2026. Bids will be opened at Aqaba Development Corporation at the same time, and all announcements related to the tender will be published on the company’s official website.
4. Participating bidders must ensure the integrity and completeness of the documents upon purchasing their copy.
5. The provisions of the Stamp Duty Law of 2001 apply to this tender.
6. The submitting bidder is required to attach a Tender Guarantee (Bid Bond) valued at (45,000) JOD—forty-five thousand Dinars only—in a separate envelope from the financial proposal, valid for (180) days from the deposit date. In case a check is provided instead of a bid bond, it must be a certified check issued by an accredited bank with the Central Bank of Jordan, made out in the name of the bidder (as appearing in the commercial register), indicating the tender name and number.
7. The Employer reserves the right to cancel or re-tender the bid without stating reasons and without incurring any financial or legal obligations as a result of such cancellation or re-tendering.
8. The Employer reserves the right to award the tender without being bound to the lowest bid.
9. The bidder must submit the original copy of the tender documents stamped and signed by them. Proposals containing any conditions or reservations contradicting the terms of the Invitation to Tender will not be considered.
