TENDER INVITATION
Aqaba Development Corporation invites qualified companies and engineering offices classified by the Government Tenders Directorate in the field of roads under First Category (A) for the year 2026 to participate in:
Supervision of the Design and Construction of Detours on the Back Road in Aqaba for both:
Package One: Construction of detours from Wadi Al-Yutam to the entrance of Yard No. (4) (approximate length of 4 km)
Package Two: Construction of detours from the Yard No. (4) area on the Back Road to the Al-Mahmaz Junction (approximate length of 5 km), in addition to a detour (approximate length of 1.5 km) Tender No. (94/A/2026)
The project is located within the boundaries of Aqaba Governorate, on the Back Road (Truck Road), which connects the Wadi Al-Yutam area to the New Aqaba Port. The project includes providing supervision services for the design and implementation of alternative detour roads for the Aqaba Back Road, with an estimated total length of (4) km, running parallel to the existing road alignment, within the project boundaries extending from the Wadi Al-Yutam intersection up to the beginning of the Yard No. 4 area.
The project's scope of work includes supervising the preparation and completion of necessary engineering designs, supervising the execution of construction works for the detour roads in accordance with approved technical and engineering standards and specifications, in addition to supervising the design and execution of alternative detour roads for the Aqaba Back Road with an estimated total length of (5) km, and supervising the execution of an additional detour road with a length of (1.5) km running parallel to the existing road alignment within the boundaries of the second detour project extending from the area located after Yard No. 4 until the intersection of the Aqaba Back Road with the road leading to the Al-Mahmaz intersection. The work includes supervising the construction works of the detour roads in accordance with approved technical and engineering standards and specifications, while taking into account traffic safety requirements and ensuring the continuity and smoothness of traffic flow and efficient road operation.
Please note that a consultant contracted as a designer with any of the winning contractors for the two execution packages cannot be awarded this supervision tender, and their offer for the supervision tender will be excluded due to the prohibition of combining design and supervision duties for the same package.
Those wishing to participate in the tender should review the Tenders Department at Aqaba Development Corporation at its offices in Aqaba between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM, starting from Monday, 9/11/2026 until Sunday, 15/11/2026, bringing along the following documents:
A valid classification certificate for the company or office from the Government Tenders Directorate for the year 2026.
A written authorization bearing the official seal/stamp of the company or office and the signature of its authorized signatory, permitting the bearer to receive the tender documents.
The price of a copy of the tender documents, amounting to (200) only, two hundred dinars, non-refundable. This amount is to be deposited into the Aqaba Development Corporation account No. (0122-045700-500) at the Arab Bank, Aqaba Branch, with the necessity of bringing the deposit receipt.
Notes:
Site Visit Gathering: For applicants, on Monday, 16/11/2026 at exactly 11:00 AM at the offices of Aqaba Development Corporation.
Deadline for Inquiries: Thursday, 19/11/2026 (no inquiries will be accepted after this date).
Submission of Bids: Bids must be deposited in the tender box at Aqaba Development Corporation before 12:00 PM (noon) on Wednesday, 9/12/2026. Bids will be opened at Aqaba Development Corporation at the same time, and all announcements related to the tender will be published on the corporation's website.
Document Integrity: The participating bidder must ensure the integrity and completeness of the documents when purchasing their copy.
Stamps Fee Law: The provisions of the Import Stamp Fees Law of 2001 apply to this tender.
Bid Bond: The bidding applicant is required to attach a bid bond in the amount of (7,500) only, seven thousand five hundred dinars, in a separate envelope from the financial offer, valid for (180) days from the deposit date. If a check is submitted instead of the bid bond, it must be a certified check issued by a bank accredited by the Central Bank of Jordan, in the name of the bidding applicant (as registered in the commercial registry), with the tender name and number indicated on it.
Employer's Rights: The employer has the right to cancel the tender or re-invite it without stating reasons, and without incurring any financial or legal obligations resulting from such cancellation or re-invitation.
Award Rights: The employer has the right to award the tender without being bound by the lowest-priced offers.
Submission Method: The bidder must submit their financial offer in a single envelope containing the original copy of the tender documents, stamped and signed by them. Offers containing any conditions or reservations contrary to the conditions of the tender invitation will not be considered.
