TENDER INVITATION
Aqaba Development Corporation invites qualified contractors classified by the Government Tenders Department in the field of roads (specialization: Road Construction and Maintenance) in First Class or Second Class for the year 2026, to participate in:
Design and Construction of Detours on the Back Road in Aqaba – Package One: Construction of Detours from Wadi Al-Yutam to the Entrance of Area No. (4) (Approximate length of 4 km)
Tender No. (98/A/2026)
The project is located within the boundaries of Aqaba Governorate along the Back Road (Truck Road), which connects the Wadi Al-Yutam area to the New Aqaba Port. The project includes the design and execution of alternative detour roads for the Aqaba Back Road, with an estimated total length of (4) km, running parallel to the existing road alignment, within the project limits extending from the Wadi Al-Yutam intersection to the beginning of the Area No. 4 zone.
The project scope includes the preparation and completion of necessary engineering designs, and the execution of construction works for the detour roads in accordance with approved technical and engineering standards and specifications, while observing traffic safety requirements and ensuring the continuity, smooth flow of traffic, and efficient road operation.
Bidding and Awarding Provisions
A bidder may submit two separate offers for both Tender No. (99/A/2026) – Package One and Tender No. (98/A/2026) – Package Two; however, both tenders will not be awarded to the same bidder.
In the event that the technical and financial evaluation results in the same bidder achieving the highest overall score (technical + financial) complying with the conditions in both tenders, Tender No. (99/A/2026) regarding the design and construction of temporary detours on the Back Road in Aqaba – Package Two will be awarded to the bidder with the highest overall score for that package. Consequently, Tender No. (98/A/2026) will be awarded to the next highest-scoring bidder in the overall rank for this package. Otherwise, if the same bidder does not achieve the highest overall score for both tenders, each tender will be awarded to the holder of the highest overall score (technical + financial) for that specific tender—meaning each package will be executed by a different contractor to best serve the interests of Aqaba Development Corporation. Evaluation and award procedures will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Government Procurement By-law and relevant tender documents and conditions.
