Signing a Memorandum of Understanding between Jordan Exports and Aqaba Development Corporation

Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) and Jordan Exports (JE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for mutual cooperation to support and incentivize Jordanian exports across all company sizes. The MoU was signed by the CEOs of both entities: Hussein Safadi for ADC and Omar Al Qurayouti for JE.

The MoU emphasizes the importance of information exchange between the two organizations, particularly regarding exports, maritime routes, supply chains, economic and market studies, and promotional campaigns to attract investments in export industries. Additionally, ADC will provide premium support to the Jordan Export Platform (JEP) for three years.

JE will contribute informational, marketing, and promotional materials to benefit ADC, companies, and factories in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZ). This includes providing ADC with a database of global buyers, supporting their participation in international exhibitions organized by JE, and promoting their services on JE's social media platforms.

During the signing, CEO Safadi stressed the importance of public-private partnerships in serving the national economy, echoing royal directives for continuous collaboration among all sectors. He highlighted ADC's commitment to supporting feasible initiatives for sustainable development, emphasizing cooperation for the national economy and promoting growth like that experienced by JE, a model for supporting Jordanian exports.

CEO Al Qurayouti commended ADC's role in empowering national entities and saw the MoU as a motivator for JEC to further its efforts. This will be achieved through joint activities with the private sector and exporters to gather information on desired shipping routes, conduct educational activities related to maritime shipping, and promote the advantages of investing in the ASEZ to attract local and foreign investment.
